I-Border Management Authority (BMA) ithi bangaphezu kuka-27 000 abantu abanqatshelwe ukungena eNingizimu Afrika ngesikhathi samaholidi kaKhisimusi.
UKhomishana we-BMA uDkt Mike Masiapato ubikele abezindaba ePitoli ngomkhankaso wezinsuku ezingu-43 owenziwe ngoDisemba.
Uthi iningi labantu abadingisiwe bebezama ukungena kuleli ngokungemthetho kanti abanye bebefunwa ngamaphoyisa e-Interpol.
“Abantu abangu-924 abebezama ukungena eNingizimu Afrika ngaphandle kwezimvume, ngemuva kokubabamba, sabathatha izithupha, sathi abafuneki sabe sesibavala ukuthi baphinde bangene eNingizimu Afrika isikhathi esiyiminyaka emihlanu.”
“Iningi lalaba bantu labanjwa lizama ukungena ngomzila oqhamuka ngaseMozambique kanye nentuba eqhamuka eZimbabwe,” kutsho uMasiapato.
UMasiapato uthi le nhlangano isakhathazekile ngezinye izinkampani zamabhasi ezisaqhubeka nokuthuthela eNingizimu Afrika abahambi abangenazo izincwadi abavela emazweni angomakhelwane.
UMasiapato uthi sekubanjwe imihlangano eminingi nezinkampani zezokuthutha umphakathi mayelana nokuthutha abantu bokufika kuleli ngokungemthetho.
“Siphinde saxoxisana nobuholi be-Cross Border Road Transport Agency savumelana ngokuthi izinkampani zamabhasi kufanele zithobele imibandela yezimvume zazo eziwela imingcele. Ngaphandle kwalokho, uma beqhubeka nokuthutha abantu bokufika kuleli ngokungemthetho, izimvume ezinjalo zizohoxiswa,” engeza.
